Position Summary:
The Development and Fundraising Specialist supports fundraising and development efforts by cultivating donor relationships, coordinating donor stewardship, researching and pursuing grant opportunities, supporting fundraising campaigns, and maintaining accurate donor records. This position works with individuals, corporations, churches, foundations, and community partners to secure resources that advance the mission of Echoing Hills and support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual, corporate, church, foundation, and community donors through outreach, events, visits, and other engagement activities. Provide donor acknowledgement and stewardship while supporting donor retention, re-engagement, and giving growth. Maintain accurate donor records, gifts, pledges, sponsorships, communications, and interactions in the organization's CRM/database. Research and identify grant opportunities; prepare grant proposals, applications, budgets, reports, and other funder communications. Manage grant deadlines, reporting requirements, renewals, and stewardship activities. Assist with annual fundraising campaigns, including year-end giving, special appeals, digital campaigns, direct mail, and special events. Research and develop relationships with prospective corporate partners, sponsors, churches, businesses, foundations, and community organizations. Partner with Marketing and Communications on fundraising messaging, donor communications, and storytelling. Represent Echoing Hills at community events, networking opportunities, meetings, presentations, and other development activities. EHCF Requirements:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Fundraising, Development, or a related field; equivalent education and relevant experience may be considered. 2-5 years of professional experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, grant writing, donor relations, sales, marketing, or a related field preferred. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with donors, funders, businesses, and community partners. Strong written and verbal communication, research, writing, editing, and storytelling skills. Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines. Experience with donor databases/CRM systems and Microsoft Office preferred. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently and collaboratively. Valid driver's license, insurable driving record, and reliable transportation required. Demonstrated Christian background and ability to fulfill the mission and purpose of Echoing Hills Village, Inc.
