Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Welding Instructor to lead our technical training programs focused on welding and related manufacturing skills. In this role, you will deliver engaging classroom and hands-on instruction to students from diverse backgrounds, preparing them for careers in welding, for commercial and industrial fields. Your expertise will help students develop essential skills in welding techniques, safety protocols, and technical troubleshooting, empowering them to succeed in high-demand industries. Duties Design and deliver comprehensive welding courses that incorporate industry standards, safety regulations (including OSHA compliance), and modern techniques. Conduct classroom instruction combined with practical demonstrations on welding equipment and techniques such as MIG, TIG, stick welding, and plasma cutting. Utilize educational technologies including computers and online instruction platforms to enhance learning experiences. Assess student progress through practical tests, written exams, and project evaluations; provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement. Maintain a safe learning environment by enforcing OSHA standards and safety protocols during all instructional activities. Collaborate with industry partners to ensure curriculum relevance and facilitate student internships or work-based learning opportunities. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate adult learners and students from diverse cultural backgrounds while fostering an inclusive classroom atmosphere. Experience Proven experience working with post-secondary students or adult learners in technical education settings. Demonstrated ability to develop course curricula aligned with industry standards for manufacturing, construction. Hands-on experience with maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), troubleshooting electrical or mechanical issues across various technical discipline Experience designing engaging course content for both classroom and remote learning environments. Knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA requirements applicable to welding shops and industrial environments. Excellent communication skills with the ability to teach complex concepts clearly while working effectively with students from diverse cultural backgrounds. Prior classroom training experience in technical trades or higher education settings is highly desirable.
