Development Associate / Fundraising Specialist (Part-Time)

Part-time, Contract About the Project Are you passionate about women's causes and skilled in fundraising? Join our 501(c)(3) nonprofit as we launch a national K-12 suffrage history module . This high-impact educational project is designed to bring the vital stories of women's history into classrooms across America, ensuring the next generation understands the full scope of our democracy. The Role We are seeking a motivated Part-Time Development Professional to help identify, cultivate, and secure donors for this initiative. You will work closely with leadership to build a sustainable pipeline of support from individual donors and foundations.
What You'll Do Prospect Research:
Identify and engage prospective individual donors and aligned organizations.
Outreach:
Draft compelling donor communications, grant applications, and foundation outreach materials.
Relationship Management:
Coordinate and participate in donor meetings and stewardship activities.
Tracking:
Conduct timely follow-ups and meticulously track pledges and matching gifts.
Strategy Support:
Assist with messaging, publicity efforts, and the evolution of our "case for support" statements.
Reporting:
Collaborate with leadership and provide regular progress reports to the Board of Directors.
What You Bring Proven Experience:
Demonstrated success in fundraising or nonprofit development.
Communication Skills:
Strong writing, storytelling, and relationship-building abilities.
Mission Alignment:
An interest in women's history, civic education, and democratic values is a plus.
Self-Starter Mentality:
Ability to work independently and manage a flexible, part-time schedule.
