Job Description

Title:
Junior Youth Development Professional Salary:
$16.00/hr
Hours:
Athletics Morning, Afternoon, Daytime, Evening, & Special Events Locations:
Cumberland-Lincoln and/or
Woonsocket Overview:
The Junior Youth Development Professional (Jr. YDP) is a part-time hourly position, up to 29 hours per week. Jr. YDP's are responsible for assisting Youth Development Professionals (YDPs) in youth programs and activities throughout our club sites.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Create a safe, positive, and fun experience for all youth. Assist with supervision of youth, using the rule of three, ensuring no one-on-one situations occur, and appropriate staff-youth ratios are in place at all times. Assist with attendance in each program area. Assist during transitions, snack and meal time(s). Communicate in a consistent and appropriate manner to all youth. Be a positive and supportive role model. Assist YDPs in the preparation of daily activities, ensure they are accessible for all youth, while promoting active participation and engagement. Ensure program areas are clean and organized. Immediately report all incidents to your Direct Supervisor.
Qualifications:
A team player with the ability to multitask and communicate effectively Successfully pass all BCI requirements Certification in CPR, First Aid and AED is encouraged Required to sit, stand, talk, or hear; via computer, telephone, or in person as needed. Frequently required to engage in active play with children, including bending, reaching, running, and participating in age-appropriate physical activities and sports. Must be able to lift, carry, and move equipment weighing up to 40 pounds. May be required to work indoors and outdoors in varying environment conditions.
