About the role Have you been working in a laboratory using complex instruments to perform rigorous tests and/or troubleshooting of laboratory methods and instrumentation? GEL Laboratories, LLC, an affiliate of The GEL Group, Inc., is looking for a Laboratory Analyst in Training to join our team of professionals in our General Chemistry Laboratory in Charleston, SC. The Laboratory Analyst in Training is responsible for conducting basic procedures that support other operations in the laboratory. You must be able to work independently, meeting productivity goals, with minimal supervision. Analysts are trained on various methods used in the lab and will progress as their skill set grows. The successful candidate will be a good communicator, skilled in Microsoft Office 365 applications, and understand the basic functions of a chemistry or radiochemistry laboratory. What you'll do Conduct basic procedures that support other operations in the laboratory Perform login, sample management and disposal operations Complete data entry activities, including initial data reduction, and initial data review Prepare lab ware for procedures Perform standard operating procedures like aliquoting, and digestions Operate basic laboratory instrumentation and equipment Follow written and verbal instructions Demonstrate and supporting GEL core values Qualifications Bachelor of Science, preferably in Chemistry or Biology Laboratory experience preferred Verbal and written communication skills Experience operating basic laboratory instrumentation and equipment Exhibits organizational skills and attention to detail What We Offer A commitment to safety and corporate values that promote respect, integrity, and innovation.
