Job Description
Senior Specialist, Education & Training Developer Position Profile $80,000 - $95,000 per year The Senior Specialist, Education & Training Developer researches, designs, develops, and delivers training solutions and specialized learning materials for complex technology products, processes, and programs that support internal and external Technology Services customers. Responsibilities may include program support, implementation, and delivery. This role partners with subject matter experts (SMEs) and business stakeholders to define and develop Technology Services learning strategies and programs that achieve established learning and business objectives. All learning programs must follow a consistent methodology, adhere to adult learning principles, and align with IPSTPI and CompTIA CTT+ standards and guidelines. Job Duties and Responsibilities Provide support to the Technology Services business unit by recommending and developing learning strategies and training solutions that support organizational goals and Ricoh's expanding portfolio of technology products and services. May serve as a team lead and direct the work of others on assigned projects. Conduct analyses to ensure training solutions meet established quality standards and recommend appropriate improvements. This may include benchmarking, evaluating learner performance and feedback, and gathering stakeholder input from prior initiatives. Partner with subject matter experts, training delivery teams, and functional business partners through job shadowing and collaboration to understand job functions, business processes, and learning needs. Conduct training needs assessments and gap analyses. Develop or lead the development of training tools, materials, and resources required to deliver high-quality learning programs in compliance with industry standards such as IPSTPI and CompTIA CTT+. Design project materials and learning solutions, ensuring alignment with program objectives and project scope. Develop training materials, including instructor-led, systems-based, and learner-focused content, while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and effectiveness. Implement learning programs and support rollout activities, including Train-the-Trainer initiatives, IT plans, vendor management, and project planning. Evaluate learning program effectiveness and recommend enhancements based on results. Implement alternative learning delivery approaches, including blended learning and emerging learning technologies. Gather and analyze feedback from stakeholders, learners, and training staff to assess training effectiveness and achievement of learning objectives. Monitor business process changes that impact training programs and recommend or implement necessary updates. Revise and update existing training content to incorporate new techniques, technologies, and instructional methodologies. Influence and gain stakeholder sponsorship for learning and development recommendations. Evaluate external training programs and provide recommendations regarding their applicability to business needs. Manage certification processes for external trainers using internally developed content, ensuring adherence to Ricoh standards. Continuously enhance professional skills and knowledge through seminars, workshops, and industry learning opportunities. Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced team members. Influence or make strategic education and training decisions with company-wide impact. Maintain industry-recognized certifications and proficiency as required. Perform other duties as assigned.
