Job Overview The Youth Development Professional is responsible for creating a safe, positive, and engaging environment where children and teens can learn, grow, and develop. The YDP serves as a positive role model and builds meaningful relationships with Club members while delivering recreational, educational, and enrichment activities. Essential Responsibilities Develop positive relationships with youth, parents, staff, and community partners. Supervise children and teens and maintain a safe, welcoming environment. Plan and lead age-appropriate educational, recreational, and enrichment activities. Encourage participation in academic, character-building, health, arts, sports, and recreation programs. Provide guidance, encouragement, and constructive feedback to members. Help manage behavior and resolve conflicts appropriately. Assist with homework, learning-center activities, and other educational programming. Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive program area. Monitor equipment and facilities for safety. Help with special events, field trips, and other Club activities. Complete basic attendance, program, and administrative records. Participate in staff meetings and required training. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Experience working with children or youth is often preferred or required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage groups of children and address behavioral issues. Ability to create engaging activities. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to pass a background check. CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it after hire

Pay:

$13.00 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
