A Training Specialist I is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, teaching, coaching, and presenting training to the associates from the retail areas of the bank. The role conducts training in a one-to-one, virtual, and group setting. They will also be responsible for follow up and the development of learning aids and programs for on-going development. The position requires an individual who excels in a fast-paced environment and one who can adjust quickly to change. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Evaluate associates in the classroom and identify knowledge discrepancies that need to be trained
Partner with the Learning Manager of the assigned area and provide support for all operational training needs
Recommend and influence changes to training procedures as needed to improve staff performance
Deploy enterprise learning solutions to drive knowledge transfer and business impact
Present training materials to various audiences as needed, in various forums (instructor-led and virtual)
Monitor and report on effectiveness of the training programs used
Organize training sessions specific to various roles in the company and ensure all associates receive the appropriate transfer of knowledge
Oversee attendance and report to Learning Manager any discrepancies in class attendance
Complete all classroom documentation and submit associate tracking reports within 5 business days of the classroom experience
Ensure that student competency requirements are met within each class by every associate
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, general business correspondence, and /or journals or government regulations
Ability to effectively present information in one-to-one and small group situations to associates and leaders within the organization
Excellent planning, organizational, and decision-making skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
A proficiency in Microsoft presentation software
Good knowledge of various training and teaching methods
Excellent time management skills
The position will require extensive time in the classroom teaching as well as extensive travel.
The ability to stand for long periods of time Education and/or Experience BS/BA degree from a 4-year accredited college/university preferred
1-3 years of banking experience focused in the retail area required
