We are looking for a consultant with electric utility or cooperative experience to support early-stage site research and utility outreach in Tennessee. What you will do Research electric service territories and infrastructure in Tennessee. Contact cooperatives and utilities to understand their process for serving new large loads. Use your industry knowledge to identify the right contacts and open conversations. Provide short weekly written updates. Who we are looking for Experience in the Tennessee Valley power system — for example TVA, a local power company or municipal electric system, or one of Tennessee's electric cooperatives. Background in engineering, system planning, staking, key accounts, member services, or economic development. Strong local industry relationships. Self-directed, clear communicator. Former and retired utility professionals are welcome.
Earning potential with completed projects:
$150,000
  • 300,000+ per year.
Bonuses are tied to completed projects and are not guaranteed; without a completed project, earnings are the hourly base only. Please note This is an independent contractor engagement. You set your own schedule and methods. This role is not open to current employees of an electric utility or cooperative. Further project details are shared after an initial conversation and a confidentiality agreement.
