Job Description

Provide leadership, staff development, and technical assistance to district and campus staff in LASO Strong Foundations Planning and Implementation for Mathematics. This role will be cross trained in Texas Lesson Study and facilitate targeted support efforts with external partners and internal staff.
Education Qualifications:
Teaching certificate required Bachelor´s degree required, Master´s preferred Administrative experience preferred
Experience:
Experience with managing budgets and implementing program requirements Experience developing and presenting professional development through multiple modes using varied media Successful experience in collaboration with and learning from multiple sources (working successfully on a team) Special Knowledge and Skills Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to interpret complex data, problem solve, and provide high quality technical assistance to stakeholders Knowledge of state and federal accountability systems Knowledge of current educational research and trends in Mathematics Experience in evaluating and implementing effective instructional programs for Mathematics Knowledge of professional development planning in Mathematics Ability to plan, implement, and follow up on staff development and training
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist in appropriate use of fiscal and facility resources to support program goals and activities Assists with effective operation of the center and pursues a common vision for the improvement of the center Develops and participates in innovative practices and programs with the center, LEAs and other agencies Observes ESC-2 policies, procedures, and professional practices Participates in staff development activities, staff meetings and curriculum development activities as required or assigned Performs related work as assigned
