This role ensures employees can safely and consistently install, maintain, service, troubleshoot, and support WCCTV surveillance systems while meeting company quality, safety, and operational standards. The Technical Trainer serves as a key partner to Operations, New Product Development (NPD), Quality, and leadership teams by developing competency-based training programs, maintaining training documentation, and supporting employee development across the organization. This role combines instructional design, hands-on technical training, and cross-functional collaboration while supporting innovative surveillance technologies and expanding operations across the United States. Key Responsibilities Develop, deliver, and maintain technical training programs for Field Operations, Technical Support, Monitoring, and operational teams. Facilitate onboarding, induction, refresher, and competency-based training for new and existing employees through classroom, virtual, and hands-on instruction. Create and maintain training materials including SOPs, work instructions, training guides, assessments, videos, flowcharts, and troubleshooting documentation. Partner with NPD and Operations teams to develop training plans and supporting documentation for new products, equipment, systems, and processes. Maintain the Operations skills matrix, identify competency gaps, and coordinate training plans to address development needs. Track training completion, employee competency sign-offs, and training effectiveness using audits, assessments, and feedback. Support technicians requiring additional development following quality findings, customer feedback, performance concerns, or audit results. Promote engineering quality standards and conduct training observations, coaching sessions, and competency evaluations. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring issues and developing training solutions that improve consistency, productivity, and first-time fix rates. Reinforce health, safety, compliance, and operational best practices while supporting internal and external audits. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Training & Development, Education, Operations, Business, Technical Education, or a related field preferred. 5-7+ years of experience developing and delivering technical training programs within operational, field service, technical, manufacturing, or technology-driven environments. Strong practical knowledge of CCTV, video surveillance, security systems, field service operations, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities. Experience coaching, mentoring, or training field-based technicians and operational teams. Demonstrated ability to create structured training programs, SOPs, assessments, skills matrices, and competency development plans. Strong presentation, facilitation, communication, and instructional design skills. Working knowledge of health, safety, quality, and compliance standards within technical or field environments. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, records, and training initiatives simultaneously. Ability to identify performance gaps, analyze root causes, and develop effective training interventions. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel nationally as required.
