JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is seeking a Secret Baseline 9 SPY Radar System Instructor to support a defensive training program in Dahlgren, VA. This individual will develop and deliver classroom and laboratory instruction to personnel on AEGIS Baseline 9 SPY radar systems, including radar theory, system operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, alignment, and fault isolation. The instructor will evaluate student performance, maintain training records, support curriculum updates, and ensure training materials remain technically accurate and aligned with current standards. This role requires a strong background with
AEGIS SPY
radar systems, experience training and mentoring personnel in a technical environment, and the ability to support operational readiness through effective instruction and curriculum development. The pay for this role ranges from $30/hour-$44/hour, based on experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Active Secret Clearance
SPY NEC:
V70A, V14C, or V13C certification
    Instructor NEC:
    9502 or 805A certification (
    • can possibly be waivered if it's a strong candidate!)
    • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field, or equivalent military experience, training, and certifications
    • 7+ years of
    AEGIS SPY
    Radar System experience as a maintenance technician, operator, or supervisor
    • Experience teaching in an apprentice- or journeyman-level technical training environment
    • 1+ year of instructional experience supporting curriculum development, learning objectives, test creation, student evaluations, and counseling
    • Strong knowledge of radar operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, fault isolation, and system alignment
    NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
    • Experience supporting SCSTC, ATRC, or
    TACTRAGRU
    • Experience reviewing and integrating radar doctrine and engineering principles into training programs
