Richmond, VA; This internship will follow an in-office work model. Tuesday - Thursday 8:30AM - 5:00PMONE, NA does not offer remote internships.
Role Summary:
Learning and Development Intern to support our HR department in evaluating the effectiveness of our talent development programs and enhancing key learning resources. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in program evaluation, instructional design, and contribute directly to the development of our employees. The intern will work closely with the Learning and Development team to assess the impact of existing programs and update learning materials to ensure clarity, engagement, and effectiveness
Internship Objectives:
Program Evaluation Support:
Assist in the design and implementation of evaluation strategies for various talent development programs (e.g., leadership development, skills training, onboarding).Collect and analyze data through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and other methods to assess program effectiveness, participant satisfaction, and knowledge transfer.

Contribute to the development of reports and presentations summarizing evaluation findings and providing actionable insights.

Identify trends and patterns in evaluation data to recommend improvements to existing programs.
Learning Material Enhancement:
Review and analyze existing learning materials (e.g., training manuals, e-learning modules, onboarding guides) for clarity, accuracy, and engagement.

Collaborate with the L&D team to update and revise content based on best practices in instructional design and adult learning principles.

Assist in the creation of new learning resources, potentially including interactive elements, multimedia, and job aids.

Ensure learning materials are accessible, user-friendly, and aligned with organizational branding.

Contribute to the organization and maintenance of learning resource libraries.

Proficiency with Google products (Slides, Sheets, Docs), Microsoft products (Excel/PPT), and/or other analytical tools - including the ability to perform VLOOKUP'sAbility to evaluate data, analyze, and problem-solve.

Responsive and dependable with excellent follow-throughEffective and professional written and verbal communication skillsOutstanding attention to detail and accuracyHighly motivated with the ability to work independently and as a team member.

Ability to adapt to changing situations
Function-Specific Required Skills and Competencies:
Be a US citizen or permanent US resident.

Be at least 18 years of age by the start of their employment/internship.

As of May 2025, be a rising junior (3rd year) or senior (4th year) enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate study in an accredited four-year college/university.

Graduate students are eligible to apply.

Possess a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
Required Minimum Years Experience:
At least 1 year of work experience or equivalent academic experience
Required Minimum Education:
High school diplomaCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Industrial and Organizational psychology, Organizational Development, Psychology, or a related field.
