Job Description

Youth Development Professional - LaVenture BoysGirls Clubs of Skagit County Part-Time (18-22 hrs/week) | $20.20-$21.43 DOE/DOQ Middle schoolers will absolutely let you know if something is boring. Good thing we're not looking for boring. We're looking for a Youth Development Professional who can connect with middle school youth, bring some energy, and help make the Club a place they actually want to be. Someone who can jump into a game, listen to the latest story, encourage a new idea, laugh with them, and still know when it's time to bring everyone back on track. You don't need to have all the coolest hobbies or understand every phrase they use. What matters is that you genuinely enjoy working with youth and can build positive relationships while creating an environment where everyone feels like they belong. Bring your interests with you! Sports, art, STEM, gaming, music, cooking, or something completely different can all become opportunities to get youth engaged, trying new things, and building confidence along the way. Our values of Fun, Respect, Integrity, Community, and Acceptance aren't just words on a wall. They're how we want youth and staff to experience the Club every day. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and available Monday through Friday. If you can bring the right mix of fun, patience, consistency, and "yeah, I'll give that a try" energy, we'd love to hear from you.
