Youth Development Professional Boys and Girls Club of the Olympic Peninsula - 4.1 Port Angeles, WA Job Details Part-time $17.13 an hour 6 days ago Qualifications School experience Teamwork Interpersonal skills High school diploma or GED Working with students Working with youth Full Job Description Job Overview The Youth Development Professional works directly with children and helps create a safe, fun, and welcoming environment at the Boys & Girls Club. This person will build positive relationships with members, help with schoolwork, and lead activities that encourage learning, creativity, teamwork, and having fun.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children, is patient and dependable, and wants to make a positive difference in their lives. Experience working with youth in a school, childcare, sports, arts, or other youth programs is helpful.

What You'll Do Build positive and supportive relationships with Club members. Help children with homework and schoolwork. Lead fun activities such as sports, games, art, science, theater, and other group activities. Encourage children to participate, try new things, and work together. Help create a safe and welcoming environment for all members. Follow Club safety rules and expectations. Support children as they learn how to solve problems, make good choices, and get along with others. Work as part of a team with other Club staff. What You Need High school diploma or equivalent. Enjoy working with children. Ability to communicate positively and respectfully with children, families, and coworkers. Dependable, patient, and willing to be an active part of the Club community. Hours & Location Roosevelt Elementary School Site -
Port Angeles Monday:
12:15 PM-5:30
PM Tuesday-Friday:
1:30 PM-5:30 PM During school closures, staff will work out of the Boys & Girls Club Main Clubhouse in Port Angeles.
