Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate, professional, and motivated Licensed Professional Counselor In-Training (LPC-IT) to join our behavioral health team in Wisconsin as a Qualified Treatment Trainee (QTT) . The LPC-IT will provide behavioral health and counseling services within their education, training, credential, and scope of practice while completing the supervised professional counseling experience required for full Wisconsin LPC licensure. The clinician will work under the supervision of a qualified clinical supervisor and will participate in ongoing clinical supervision, case consultation, treatment planning, documentation, and professional development. Duties and Responsibilities Conduct behavioral health assessments and clinical interviews to identify client needs and treatment goals. Provide individual, family, and group counseling services within the scope of the LPC-IT credential and supervised practice. Develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs, presenting concerns, clinical assessment, and treatment goals. Provide evidence-based and trauma-informed counseling interventions appropriate to the client's presenting concerns. Provide services addressing mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, grief, adjustment difficulties, relationship concerns, and other behavioral health needs. Provide behavioral health and psychotherapy services consistent with the clinician's training, experience, supervision, and Wisconsin requirements. Provide services through telehealth , when permitted by applicable Wisconsin regulations, payer requirements, and organizational policies. Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR), including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other required clinical documentation. Participate in regular clinical supervision with an appropriately qualified Wisconsin supervisor. Discuss clinical cases, treatment progress, risk concerns, and treatment planning with the assigned supervisor. Incorporate supervisory feedback into clinical practice and professional development. Coordinate care and make appropriate referrals when a client's needs require services outside the clinician's scope of practice. Participate in multidisciplinary collaboration and case consultation as appropriate. Maintain HIPAA compliance, confidentiality, professional boundaries, and ethical standards. Follow all applicable Wisconsin laws, regulations, payer requirements, and organizational policies. Participate in staff meetings, training, quality assurance activities, and continuing professional development. Maintain professional communication with clients, supervisors, colleagues, referral sources, and other members of the treatment team.
Qualifications Required:
Master's degree in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Professional Counseling, or another qualifying graduate counseling program. Current Wisconsin LPC-IT / Professional Counselor Training License , or eligibility to obtain the credential. Ability to practice under qualified clinical supervision. Strong clinical documentation and communication skills. Knowledge of counseling principles, assessment, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries. Ability to work effectively with diverse client populations.
Preferred:
Previous experience providing behavioral health or counseling services. Experience with telehealth. Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR). Experience with trauma-informed care. Bilingual or multilingual skills. Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, or families.
