We are looking for a reliable, motivated team member to help provide exceptional daily care for the dogs and cats staying in our hospital. This is an active animal-care position that involves much more than spending time with pets. A large portion of each day is dedicated to cleaning, feeding, walking, monitoring patients, and keeping our boarding and daycare areas safe, sanitary, and organized. What You'll Be Doing A typical shift may include: Providing scheduled outdoor walks for dogs in various weather conditions Preparing and serving meals according to each pet's individual instructions Providing fresh water and monitoring food and water intake Cleaning, sanitizing, and resetting kennels, runs, condos, and animal-care areas Observing pets for changes in appetite, behavior, bathroom habits, comfort, or overall health Promptly communicating concerns to the appropriate medical team member Documenting care and maintaining accurate boarding records Providing baths and performing basic grooming services, including nail trims, ear cleaning, etc. Assisting veterinary team members with basic patient-care duties when requested Completing laundry, dishes, restocking, deep cleaning, and other daily housekeeping responsibilities Helping maintain a clean and organized facility throughout the day Following established safety procedures and maintaining OSHA awareness Providing friendly, professional service to clients Learning and maintaining a working knowledge of hospital services, policies, and procedures What We Expect From Our Team We're looking for someone who can work well as part of a busy veterinary team. Team members are expected to maintain a professional attitude, communicate clearly, use appropriate veterinary terminology when working with medical staff, and support coworkers, management, and practice ownership. A willingness to jump in where needed and contribute to a positive work environment is essential. Schedule Requirements Schedule flexibility is required . Our boarding pets require care every day, including weekends and holidays. Applicants must be willing and able to participate in rotating weekend and holiday shifts as scheduled. Minimum Qualifications Dependable and able to maintain a flexible work schedule Strong communication and customer-service skills Comfortable working as part of a team Able to use good judgment in stressful or fast-moving situations Capable of managing multiple responsibilities and staying organized during busy shifts Physical Demands This is a physically demanding position.
