Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dog Bather to join our pet grooming team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for bathing dogs, ensuring they are clean, comfortable, and well-presented. This role requires a genuine love for animals, excellent handling skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in animal handling, pet grooming, or veterinary settings is highly desirable. The Dog Bather plays a vital role in maintaining our clients' satisfaction by providing exceptional grooming services and ensuring the safety and well-being of each pet. Duties Bathing dogs using appropriate shampoos and grooming products Drying, brushing, and styling coats according to breed standards or client preferences Handling dogs safely during bathing procedures, including animal restraint when necessary Assisting with pet care routines such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing Maintaining cleanliness of bathing tools and work area Monitoring dogs for signs of stress or health issues during grooming sessions Providing excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets' needs and bathing preferences Assisting grooming staff with animal handling tasks as needed Heavy lifting of animals or equipment up to a specified weight limit when required Maintaining a clean environment for the animals by keeping the bathing tubs and kennels appropriately clean and sanitized. Also, cleaning the salon at the end of the day. Skills Experience in pet bathing, dog handling, or kennel work is preferred Strong animal handling skills with the ability to restrain animals safely and humanely Ability to perform pet bathing tasks with attention to detail and patience Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with clients Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physical tasks required for bathing and cleaning duties Compassionate attitude towards animals with a focus on safety and comfort This position offers an opportunity to work in a caring environment dedicated to animal well-being.
