In this vital role, you will ensure the well-being, safety, and comfort of all animals in our care while maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for pet owners and staff alike. Your leadership will help create a positive experience for pets and their owners, fostering trust and confidence in our services. The ideal candidate is passionate about animal care, possesses excellent team management skills, and thrives in a dynamic outdoor setting. Duties Supervise daily kennel operations, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring animals' health and behavior Assist with pet handling, dog training, and animal restraint to ensure safe interactions for staff and pets Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels, pet boarding areas, and grooming stations to meet health standards Support pet sitting, pet boarding, and pet care services by providing attentive and compassionate care Handle customer service interactions with pet owners, answering questions and providing updates on their pets' well-being Perform outdoor work such as yard cleaning, fencing checks, and ensuring secure enclosures for animals Assist veterinary technicians or assistants with animal handling during medical procedures or examinations Requirements Prior experience working with animals in veterinary clinics, kennels, or pet care facilities is highly preferred Knowledge of veterinary procedures, animal behavior, and pet grooming techniques Ability to lift heavy objects safely through team lifting practices; physical stamina for outdoor work Strong animal handling skills with a focus on safety and restraint techniques Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners Experience in animal care tasks such as cleaning kennels, sanitizing equipment, and maintaining hygiene standards Familiarity with pet sitting, pet boarding operations, and outdoor animal management is a plus Join us to make a positive impact on the lives of pets and their owners!
