Job Description
Doggy Styles Grooming Studio is looking for a dependable, skilled, and compassionate Dog Groomer to join our growing grooming studio! Must have 2+ years of professional grooming experience. Must be able to fully groom all breeds without assistance.
- Owning & loving dogs is not experience We are an appointment-only grooming salon that focuses on providing quality, one-on-one care for our clients' dogs in a clean, professional, and comfortable environment.
- Perform full-service dog grooming, including bathing, drying, brushing, de-shedding, haircuts, nail trims, ear cleaning, and sanitary trims
- Safely handle and restrain dogs throughout the grooming process
- Evaluate each dog's coat, skin, behavior, and grooming needs
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding grooming requests and their pet's needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary grooming area
- Properly clean and disinfect grooming equipment and work areas
- Monitor dogs for signs of stress, discomfort, injury, or illness and communicate concerns appropriately
- Provide a positive, calm, and professional experience for both pets and their owners
- Follow salon safety procedures and grooming standards
- Maintain professional relationships with clients and coworkers Qualifications
- Previous professional dog grooming experience preferred
- Grooming certification or professional training is a plus
- Comfortable working with dogs of various breeds, sizes, coat types, and temperaments
- Strong knowledge of safe dog handling practices
- Able to work independently and manage appointments efficiently
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Professional and friendly with clients
- Must take pride in producing quality work
- Ability to safely lift and handle dogs as needed Newer groomers with proper training and a strong desire to learn may also be considered. What We Offer
