Responsibilities Provide attentive care to dogs and other animals staying at the kennel, including feeding, watering, and administering medications as needed Engage in dog training activities to promote good behavior and socialization Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure their safety and comfort Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and common spaces to uphold hygiene standards Assist with pet grooming tasks such as brushing or bathing when required Monitor animals closely for signs of stress or illness and report concerns promptly to veterinary staff Support pet sitting duties by providing companionship and basic care during weekend shifts Heavy lifting of supplies, bedding, or animals when necessary to support daily operations Qualifications Prior experience with dog handling, pet grooming, or pet sitting is highly desirable Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal restraint methods Background in animal care fields such as kennel experience Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily tasks Strong animal handling skills with patience and compassion for all animals Basic understanding of pet care routines, including feeding, medication administration, and hygiene practices Join us if you're enthusiastic about animal welfare, eager to learn more , and ready to bring energy and dedication to a rewarding weekend role!
