Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pet Groomer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional grooming services to a variety of animals, ensuring they look and feel their best. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly environment where animal care and customer satisfaction are our top priorities. The Pet Groomer will play a vital part in maintaining the health and wellbeing of our clients' pets while delivering exceptional service. Duties Bathing, drying, and brushing animals to ensure cleanliness and comfort Trimming, clipping, and styling coats according to breed standards or customer preferences Checking pets for signs of health issues or skin conditions and reporting concerns to owners or veterinary professionals Maintaining grooming equipment and tools in excellent condition Providing gentle handling and reassurance to nervous or anxious animals during grooming procedures Engaging with pet owners to discuss grooming needs and provide advice on pet hygiene and maintenance Ensuring the grooming area is kept clean, organised, and hygienic at all times Requirements 2 years previous experience in dog grooming is required. Strong knowledge of breed specific grooms and k-9 handling techniques. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting when handling larger animals or equipment Compassionate nature with patience for working with animals that may be nervous or difficult to handle Organised approach to managing appointments and maintaining accurate records of grooming performed Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment This role offers an enriching career opportunity for individuals passionate about animal welfare and dedicated to delivering high-quality grooming services.
