The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Lead Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of all pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that enhance their appearance and comfort. Must be team oriented and willing to support staff members as needed. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling pets according to breed standards and client preferences. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention. Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs and grooming options. Handle animals with care, utilizing proper animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both the pet and the groomer. Keep detailed records of each pet's grooming history, including any special instructions or concerns from pet owners. Stay updated on grooming trends, techniques, and best practices in pet care. Support staff members and offer guidance and advice. Communicate clearly and effectively with Ownership to meet the shops needs. Qualifications Must have 5 years of current grooming experience. Strong knowledge of animal care practices, including dog handling, animal restraint, and general pet care. Ability to work with various breeds of dogs and cats, understanding their specific grooming needs. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and staff to provide exceptional service. Must have professional management experience. Must have current references and portfolio.
