You will be experiencing dog introductions and dog personality matching with a manager or trained employee. As a handler, you should be highly attentive and be able to deal with multiple tasks at once. We expect you to have excellent communication skills and be able to express our company's views creatively and to work in teams with the other employees. You must be self-sufficient and assertive as a worker. Due to the nature of your role, you should have good people skills with the aim of providing high levels of customer service. This is a very high paced environment and can be very stressful and mentally and physically draining. Ultimately the role of Handler is to ensure all animals safety and comfortability while in our facility which furthers the parent's happiness and trust towards The Furshire.

Responsibilities:

Feeding animals, medicating animals, checking animals overall wellbeing and health while in our resort. Keeping their rooms clean and sanitized, keeping up on their water bowls and food bowls. Cleaning up after the animals, indoors and outdoors. You will be assisting your team with upkeep of laundry and kitchen bowls and the overall upkeep of the resort. Assist your team with breaking up any dog fights that may occur. Playing and taking photos with the animals in your section.

Requirements:

(non-negotiable) MUST be at least 18 years old MUST be able to work Saturday and Sunday Must be able to work either 4:30am-1:00pm OR 12:00pm-9:00pm MUST know basic knowledge of dog breeds. Cannot have fear of dogs and cats. Must be able to multitask and stay on track. Must have a personal vehicle to the furshire at all times. Cannot have allergies to any animals. No prior experience required- we will fully train you. No schooling or previous training required. Because we board pets here 365 days a year, candidates must be available to work weekends and all holidays. Please understand, unlike other kennels, the furshire takes aggressive dogs into the facility (dog aggression and human aggression).
