1099 Dog Groomer Job Summary This is a unique opportunity for someone who can start slow but is willing to work hard in order to grow quickly. This is a 1099 position that would start out as just Saturdays but has the ability to evolve to adding Wednesdays then other days of the week if the person exhibits the qualities we're looking for to grow our small business. We are willing to negotiate pay schedule and structure. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, and styling according to breed standards and client preferences Assess each dog's coat, skin, and overall health to determine appropriate grooming techniques and products Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming requests, provide advice on pet care, and address any concerns Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and well-maintained Monitor dogs during grooming for signs of discomfort or health issues and report any concerns to pet owners or management Keep detailed records of grooming services provided for each pet Qualifications Proven experience as a Dog Groomer or similar role in pet grooming or animal care Knowledge of different dog breeds and their specific grooming needs Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with pet owners Ability to handle dogs safely and compassionately during grooming procedures Attention to detail and a strong sense of hygiene and safety standards Ability to work efficiently and maintain quality service Fur Sure Grooming Studio is owned and operated by two groomers with 35 years of grooming experience. We believe in quality over quantity and fair pricing. We are a drug free work place. Be prepared for a basic background check.
