Responsibilities Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and pet coat care tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, brushing, de-matting, and other grooming tasks with precision and care Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide professional advice on pet coat styling and maintenance Maintain a clean, organized grooming station by sanitizing tools and work areas regularly Assist with pet handling during check-in, check-out, and while in the grooming area to ensure safety for animals of all temperaments Support other team members with animal handling duties such as kennel cleaning, pet sitting, or basic animal care when needed Skills Proven experience in dog grooming with a strong portfolio of completed styles and cuts Knowledge of animal handling techniques including veterinary experience or veterinary technician/assistant background is highly desirable Familiarity with pet coat styling, pet nail trimming, and animal restraint methods Ability to handle dogs safely during grooming procedures of varying sizes and temperaments Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners about grooming needs and animal care advice Experience with veterinary or kennel environments is a plus for understanding animal health considerations Strong customer service orientation with a friendly, professional demeanor Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and performing detailed grooming tasks Join us if you're eager to bring your grooming expertise into a lively setting where animals are at the heart of everything we do!
