Duties Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and finishing, for a variety of dog breeds and other small animals. Handle pets with care, ensuring their safety and comfort through proper animal restraint and handling techniques. Conduct pet assessments to determine grooming needs and identify any health concerns or special requirements. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming procedures, aftercare, and pet health. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming stations, tools, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards. Assist with pet care duties such as feeding, basic veterinary support tasks, or kennel cleaning when needed. Support mobile grooming operations by preparing mobile units, managing schedules, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed during on-site visits. Have a clean driving record Experience Proven experience as a pet groomer with a strong portfolio of grooming styles across various breeds. Background in animal handling, including dog training, veterinary technician or assistant experience, or equine experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with veterinary procedures related to pet health and safety during grooming processes. Knowledge of animal restraint techniques to ensure safe grooming sessions. Prior kennel experience or heavy lifting skills that demonstrate physical stamina required for the role. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners.
