Candidate must have excellent initiative and follow through skills. Must have good interpersonal skills as needed to work well in a client driven and team oriented environment. Our Kennel Attendant will be responsible for answering phones, scheduling appointments for grooming, boarding and daycare. Daily reminder calls for upcoming appointments. Closing out client tickets at the time pick up and collecting payment for services rendered. Data entry and database management to ensure the most current client information is on record. Candidates who apply for this position should enjoy multi-tasking, being on the phone, and providing excellent customer service to walk-in client throughout the day. Requirements:
Ideal candidates must possess the following skills, abilities and knowledge: Maintain excellent attendance record and work scheduled hours. Must be able adapt to changes throughout day as needed. Must have a strong work ethic Must be reliable Must have excellent customer service skills Must have excellent communication skills Must be well-organized and self-driven Must have excellent data entry and follow through skills Must be friendly and have a positive demeanor Must be able to work in a fun, but sometimes-noisy environment Previous related experience within the animal industry required.
Responsibilities Included:
Open and close facility daily: turn on/off alarm and A/C Clean and maintain dog areas: dog runs and daycare area daily to include: sweeping, mopping, squeegee down areas. All dog ramps and grass areas must be cleaned daily. Clean and maintain cat boarding area Feed dogs and cats Fill water bowls Clean food bowls Clean the inside of the office area to include: floors, bathroom, lunch room, office, waiting/store area, and empty trash cans. Ensure that there is no food left out in any of the area at night daily Rotate dogs Provide customer service to walk in clients for grooming services to include bathing & teeth scaling, boarding, daycare, training and flea medication sales Reminder phones calls for next day client appointments - reschedule if needed. Up sales - educate clients about appropriate sales offered when scheduling their next appointment.
Store product sales:
flea medications, dog/cat food, treats, pads and all other products offered. Ordering of products and supplies needed for the facility Office organization: paperwork, filing, and keeping client records up to date (all contact information in database) Stay after hours as needed until the last customer arrives to pick up their pet.
Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
