Job Description
Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, safe, and compassionate care for dogs throughout their stay Supervise dogs during playtime and group activities Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized kennels, play areas, and facility spaces Feed, water, and monitor dogs according to their individual needs Safely handle dogs of different sizes, breeds, temperaments, and energy levels Bathe and dry dogs using professional bathing equipment and products Perform basic grooming services such as brushing, nail trims, ear cleaning, and finishing touches Recognize and communicate changes in a dog's behavior, health, or overall condition Follow proper sanitation, safety, and animal-handling procedures Provide friendly and professional customer service during drop-off and pick-up Answer phones, assist customers, schedule appointments, and handle basic computer tasks Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and business owner Assist with general cleaning and other daily facility duties as neededQualifications:
At least 1 year of previous professional experience working with dogs is required Comfortable handling dogs of various sizes, breeds, temperaments, and energy levels Comfortable working independently and being the only staff member on-site when needed Comfortable using computers, phones, scheduling systems, and other basic technology Able to communicate professionally and effectively with both customers and pet owners Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and make good decisions in unexpected situations Dependable, punctual, responsible, and organized Willingness to learn proper bathing, drying, handling, and safety techniques Must be comfortable working around water, noise, barking, and dog hair Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and a flexible schedule as neededWhat We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys working with dogs while also understanding that this position involves much more than animal care. You should be comfortable working solo, solving problems independently, handling money, communicating with customers and pet owners, answering phones, and using a computer. We are looking for someone dependable, confident, patient, hardworking, and professional who can provide excellent care to the dogs while creating a positive experience for their owners.Pay:
