Works with animals in shelters or rescue organizations. Works primarily with dogs and cats. Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

We're looking for a reliable, calm, dog-loving assistant to support daily care and help maintain the quality and standards of our space as we grow. Responsibilities Assist with dog handling, including feeding, walking, socializing, and monitoring behavior to promote well-being and safety Maintain separation by size/energy, redirect behavior calmly and safely, ensure safety, health, and security within the facility Maintain cleanliness of kennels, grooming areas, and common spaces to uphold health standards: washing bowls, general cleaning, reset crates, laundry, turf, common areas Ensure proper documentation of pet care activities and facility maintenance tasks for record-keeping purposes Immediately alert management of any safety, injuries, or unusual behavior Light admin work to check in/check out dogs to their parents Ideal Candidate Experience in previous dog training, boarding, daycare, vet, or volunteer experience highly preferred Comfortable working with dogs of various sizes and temperaments Calm, observant, communicative, and safety minded Reliable and punctual, able to follow clear routines and standards Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and visitors At least 18 years old, high School diploma or GED, must be able to be on foot and active during shifts Schedule Full time Role - Friday to Tuesday 10am to 7pm We can start with half days as you learn the routine, schedule and build to a full time.
