Your skills in pet grooming, handling, and animal care will help build lasting relationships with clients and their furry friends. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your love for animals with your grooming expertise in a lively, supportive environment. Responsibilities Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs safely and confidently, utilizing proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools and work area to uphold hygiene standards Assess each pet's health condition, alerting veterinary staff or pet owners of any concerns or unusual signs Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with pet owners about grooming preferences and aftercare instructions Assist with pet handling tasks such as dog training or behavioral management when needed Support team members with kennel duties, pet sitting, or other animal care responsibilities as required Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming, dog handling, or animal care roles such as veterinary technician or veterinary assistant Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal restraint methods Familiarity with veterinary procedures and veterinary experience is a plus Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage dogs of various sizes and temperaments Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for grooming or kennel duties Excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive client experience Prior experience in pet sitting, kennel work, or equine care is advantageous but not required Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality pet care in a lively team environment
