AGWC Rockin' Rescue is looking for a reliable, hardworking, compassionate Kennel & Animal Care Attendant to help care for our rescue animals and maintain a clean, safe environment. This is a hands-on position involving daily care of our dogs and cats. The ideal person genuinely enjoys working with animals but also understands that a large part of rescue work is cleaning, feeding, laundry, dishes, and keeping everything organized. We are looking for someone dependable who takes pride in doing things thoroughly and doesn't need to be constantly reminded what needs to be done. Responsibilities Feed and provide fresh water to dogs and cats Clean and disinfect dog kennels and cat rooms Scoop litter boxes and maintain clean cat areas Wash food and water bowls Do laundry, including animal bedding, towels, and blankets Sweep, vacuum, mop, and maintain clean floors Clean common areas and animal-care areas Take dogs outside for bathroom breaks and exercise Safely handle dogs of different sizes and temperaments Provide basic enrichment and attention to animals Monitor animals and report anything unusual to management Help maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary rescue facility Follow feeding, medication, cleaning, and animal-care instructions Take out trash and maintain cleaning supplies Help with general rescue tasks as needed What We're Looking For We need someone who is: Extremely reliable and punctual Hardworking and comfortable with physical work Comfortable cleaning animal waste Comfortable around dogs and cats Able to safely handle animals Detail-oriented and organized Able to work independently Comfortable working as part of a team Compassionate but able to remain calm and professional Willing to do whatever is needed to keep the rescue running This job is not just playing with animals. Cleaning and animal-care duties make up a significant part of the position. Experience Animal shelter, kennel, veterinary, grooming, boarding, daycare, or rescue experience is a plus. Previous professional animal-care experience is preferred but not required for the right person. We are willing to train someone who is dependable, hardworking, learns quickly, and genuinely cares about animal welfare. Physical Requirements This position involves standing and walking for extended periods, frequent bending, lifting, cleaning, and working around animals. You must be comfortable working with dogs and cats and performing physical cleaning tasks throughout the day. Schedule We are looking for someone who can work approximately 40 hours per week . Our hours are generally between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM , and weekend availability is important. Please apply only if you have reliable availability during these hours.
