In this role, you'll help keep the animals in our care healthy, comfortable, and engaged while maintaining a clean, safe environment. Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas. Provide food and fresh water according to each animal's dietary needs. Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff. Monitor animals' health and behavior and promptly report concerns to the veterinary team. Assist with bathing and grooming as needed. Exercise and socialize animals to support their physical and mental well-being. Assist with basic dog training exercises. Maintain accurate records of feeding, medications, and behavioral observations. Provide friendly, professional customer service to pet owners, answering questions and addressing concerns. Qualifications A genuine love for animals and a patient, caring approach to handling them. Availability to start work at 5:30 a.m. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks, including bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. Knowledge of basic animal handling techniques and veterinary procedures. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with pet owners, veterinary staff, and teammates. Previous experience as a veterinary assistant or technician is preferred. Experience with kennel operations, pet care, or dog training is a plus.
