Job Description

Dog Daycare Attendant & Walker Family Dog Walkers Oakland, CA Job Details Part-time $20 - $25 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Paid training Paid time off Employee discount Flexible schedule Qualifications Driver's License Dog handling Mobile devices Full Job Description At Family Dog Walkers we provide high-level care for our canine clients in a positive at home environment in the Oakland hills. Our primary goal is ensuring that our pups are happy, healthy and well-adjusted. We have a spacious backyard with locked side gates, two indoor dog-friendly hangout areas in addition to the main house for romping and socializing. We are a very small business so we make sure to keep the number and energy level of our puppy clients at a safe and manageable volume in relation to staff numbers. We typically have 3 people working at a time while alternating between walks around the neighborhood, transporting dogs in the company vehicle, off leash hikes (2 days/week) and supervising remaining dogs at the facility. This requires clear and direct communication skills to ensure dogs are being monitored, engaged, and transported in a timely manner. A majority of communication between clients and employees is over text so it is important that you own a smartphone that can take quality photos to send to clients. You would receive a $20/month stipend for this. Our primary goal is enriching our canine companions, however we do a fair amount of upkeep/cleaning play areas and garden during the day since we operate out of a home, so if you enjoy the outdoors and cute dogs this might be the job for you! Regular business hours are 8:30am-3:30pm Monday-Thursday. We prefer somewhat of an adaptable schedule as we try to create flexibility for everyone while running a small business. In the beginning, work will average between 44 - 88 hours per month but may grow with our ability to expand the business and your comfortability. Starting pay is $20-$25/hr based on experience with a $20/month stipend for use of your smartphone. There is paid time off that accumulates with hours worked. Raises are a major possibility based on additional responsibilities, skills, training, and certifications.
