Job Overview Join our vibrant team as a Dog Walker/Recess Yard Duty and Glorified Pet Taxi Driver - ALL in one! In this role, you will ensure dogs receive engaging exercise, socialization, and care in a safe outdoor environment. (a fully fenced in, private six acre ranch) Your enthusiasm for animals and commitment to their well-being will help foster happy, healthy pets while building trusting relationships with clients. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your love for animals with active outdoor work. Duties Lead energetic recess for dogs of various breeds and sizes, ensuring they get proper exercise and mental stimulation Handle animals safely using animal restraint techniques and proper handling skills Monitor dog behavior during recess/play, addressing any signs of stress or discomfort with patience and expertise Communicate effectively with me regarding pets' activities, behaviors, and any concerns during or after walks Assist with pet sitting and overnight in-home care to provide continuity of care This job does consist of a lot of time on the road. Please note that a background check and driving record will be performed. Maintain cleanliness and safety during walks by managing outdoor environments and heavy lifting of equipment or supplies as needed Proven experience in dog handling, pet care, or animal behavior management Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high energy levels Strong client communication skills to relay updates clearly and professionally to pet owners Experience with animal restraint techniques, pet exercise routines, and general animal care practices Physical ability for heavy lifting, extended walking or standing periods, and outdoor activity management Embark on a rewarding career where your passion for animals fuels every step!
