Responsibilities Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime, ensuring they are safe and well-behaved through effective animal handling and restraint techniques Monitor dog interactions to promote positive socialization and prevent conflicts or injuries Assist with basic pet grooming and cleaning to maintain a hygienic environment for all animals Provide pet sitting services for dogs requiring special attention or individual care Support animal care technicians with animal care tasks as needed, including administering basic pet medications or treatments Handle heavy lifting when necessary to transport supplies, bedding, or equipment around the facility Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating with pet owners about their dog's behavior, health, and overall well-being Experience Prior experience in dog handling, kennel work, or pet sitting is highly valued Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience enhances your ability to care for animals effectively Background in veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles provides a strong foundation in animal health and safety protocols Familiarity with pet grooming, animal restraint, and general animal care practices is preferred Previous roles involving heavy lifting or physical activity demonstrate your readiness for the demands of this position Excellent customer service skills ensure positive interactions with pet owners and team members alike Join us at Tale of the Dog where every day is an adventure filled with wagging tails and happy paws!
