The Dog Groomer will also assist with pet care duties and contribute to creating a welcoming environment for clients and their furry companions. Responsibilities Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and de-matting for dogs of various breeds and sizes Handle animals safely and humanely, utilizing animal restraint techniques as needed Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools, stations, and work areas Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming needs and recommendations Ensure the safety and comfort of animals throughout the grooming process Keep detailed records of grooming services provided and any special instructions from pet owners Follow all safety protocols related to animal handling, heavy lifting, and equipment use Skills Strong animal handling skills with experience in pet grooming Knowledge of animal restraint techniques, and pet care best practices Ability to lift heavy loads as required for handling larger animals or equipment Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners Experience in kennel management, pet sitting, or animal care is a plus Compassionate attitude towards animals with patience and attention to detail Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and quality This position offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment dedicated to animal well-being.
