Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Kennel Attendant / Animal Care Attendant / Kennel Assistant to join our team. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about animals and eager to develop their skills in a professional veterinary environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the well-being of our animal patients. Duties Provide attentive animal handling and care, including feeding, bathing, grooming, and administering medications as directed. Maintain cleanliness of kennels, treatment areas, and common spaces in accordance with sanitation protocols to promote a safe environment. Assist veterinary staff with animal restraint during examinations or procedures, ensuring safety for both animals and team members. Support pet boarding services by monitoring animals' behavior and health status throughout their stay. Engage in outdoor work activities such as walking dogs, cleaning outdoor enclosures, and ensuring secure containment. Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies and ensuring proper storage of pet care products. Promote positive interactions with clients by providing friendly customer service and answering basic questions about animal care. Requirements Prior experience working with animals in a veterinary clinic, pet boarding facility, or pet sitting environment is preferred. Knowledge of animal handling techniques and behavior management strategies. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50lbs) safely when moving supplies or animals. Strong attention to detail in cleaning, sanitization, and record keeping. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients. Experience with pet grooming, dog training, or veterinary assisting is a plus. Willingness to work outdoors and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions. Pay:
$20.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 38.0 per week
