Overview We are seeking a dedicated Animal Care Attendant to join our pet care facility. This role involves hands-on animal care, kennel maintenance, and providing exceptional service to our clients. The ideal candidate will be passionate about animals, capable of multi-tasking in a dynamic environment, and comfortable working with both pets and clients. Bi-lingual skills in English and Spanish are highly valued to effectively serve our diverse clientele. This position requires availability on weekends and holidays. Duties Handling and caring for dogs, including walking, bathing, and grooming to ensure their well-being and comfort Kennel sanitation: cleaning kennels, dishes, laundry, and maintaining a hygienic environment for all animals Pet grooming tasks such as baths and basic grooming procedures Assisting with animal care activities including feeding, monitoring health, and providing enrichment Team lifting to safely move animals or equipment as needed Supporting pet hospital operations by learning to give medications, preparing medications from the pharmacy for patients, and understanding vaccination protocols Cross-training in reception duties: answering phones, booking appointments, checking clients out, and managing front desk responsibilities Assisting with hands-on tasks at the pet hospital environment as part of ongoing training Experience Prior experience working with animals is preferred but not required; a strong interest in animal welfare is essential Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and cleaning throughout the shift Excellent communication skills, especially bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish to serve our diverse client base Comfortable multitasking across various responsibilities including animal care, customer service, and administrative duties Willingness to work on weekends and holidays as part of the team schedule Join us if you are passionate about animals, eager to learn multiple aspects of pet care and client service, and committed to providing a safe and caring environment for pets and their owners.
