You'll provide top-notch animal care, maintain a clean and safe environment, and deliver exceptional customer service to pet owners. Responsibilities Provide attentive care to dogs and other pets staying in our kennel or participating in daycare activities, including feeding, walking, and administering medications when necessary Ensure all animals are properly handled using animal restraint techniques and animal behavior understanding to promote safety for pets and staff Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and grooming stations through regular sanitization and cleaning procedures to uphold health standards Assist with pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming to keep animals comfortable and looking their best Monitor pet behavior continuously to identify signs of stress or illness and communicate observations to veterinary staff or management promptly Support outdoor activities like supervised playtime and exercise sessions that promote physical activity and mental stimulation for pets Handle customer interactions professionally by answering questions about pet care services and providing updates on pets' well-being Experience Prior veterinary experience or veterinary technician experience is highly valued for understanding animal health needs Experience in pet sitting or pet boarding facilities demonstrates your ability to manage multiple animals responsibly Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal handling skills enhances your ability to work confidently with diverse breeds and temperaments Kennel experience combined with outdoor work exposure prepares you for physically demanding tasks involving heavy lifting and team lifting efforts Skills in pet grooming, animal restraint, cleaning, and sanitization are essential for maintaining a safe environment Excellent customer service skills ensure positive interactions with pet owners while addressing their concerns effectively Familiarity with animal behavior principles helps in managing pet interactions safely and compassionately Join us in creating a safe, clean, and joyful environment where pets feel loved and cared for every day!
