You're someone who already knows your way around the table, can handle a full book of clients, and takes pride in turning out polished, breed-appropriate cuts. You'll work independently but as part of a tight, supportive salon where craft and good handling are valued. Responsibilities Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs safely and compassionately using proper restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations and equipment to uphold health standards Assess each pet's coat condition, skin health, and overall well-being, alerting owners to any concerns that may require veterinary attention Communicate clearly with pet owners about grooming options, aftercare instructions, and pet behavior Support additional pet care duties such as pet sitting or kennel cleaning when needed Required Qualifications 3+ years of professional pet grooming experience Strong understanding of breed-specific cuts and styling techniques Knowledge of safe dog handling and restraint methods Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs Bonus Qualifications Grooming certification (NDGAA, IPG, or similar) Background as a veterinary technician or assistant Experience in kennel or shelter environments Bilingual (English/Spanish) What We're Looking For A genuine love for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities is the foundation.
