Petverse is a modern pet care marketplace that connects trusted caregivers with pet families who want more than "just a walk." We focus on personalized care , clear communication, and kind, science-based handling (no shock, prong, or choke collars). We're growing and looking for Flexible Pet Care Associates who love dogs and cats, communicate clearly with humans, and can manage their own time like a pro. What You'll Do As a Flexible Pet Care Associate, you will: Provide dog walks , drop-in visits , daytime care , and house sitting/overnights depending on your availability. Follow each pet's Care Plan (feeding, medications, routines, preferences). Share quick updates, photos, and short notes after each visit through our app Job Chats (no personal numbers). Use kind handling only : harnesses or flat collars; exceptions only with client permission, documented in the app.
Respect client homes:
leave spaces as clean (or cleaner) than you found them. Communicate early if something changes (traffic, delays, issues with keys, etc.). Work with Petverse supervisors when there are questions, special needs, or safety concerns.
What We're Looking For Must-haves:
Genuine love for animals and patience with different personalities (shy, energetic, seniors, puppies). Flexible availability : able to take visits during some of these blocks: Morning (~7:00-10:00) Midday (~11:00-15:00) Evening (~17:00-21:00) Occasional weekends and holidays
Reliability:
you show up on time and follow instructions carefully. Strong communication in English (spoken and written). Smartphone with data and the ability to use apps, maps, and chat. At least 18 years old and legally allowed to work. Willingness to complete background checks if required. Nice-to-have (not required): Previous experience as dog walker, pet sitter, vet assistant, trainer, or daycare staff. Comfortable with large breeds, reactive dogs, or multi-pet homes. Basic understanding of dog body language and low-stress handling. CPR / Pet First Aid training (or interest in taking it). Dependability Schedule & Flexibility This role is designed to be flexible : You indicate which days/time blocks you can consistently cover. You can combine Petverse with studies, another job, or freelance work, as long as you honor your booked visits. We prioritize associates who keep good on-time % and quick responses in chat.
