Position Overview We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and compassionate Mobile Dog Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will operate a fully equipped, state-of-the-art mobile grooming van, delivering stress-free, one-on-one grooming services right to our clients' doorsteps. You'll manage your daily route, maintain a clean workspace, and provide top-tier care to dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
Key Duties & Responsibilities Grooming & Styling:
Perform full-service grooming, including bathing, blow-drying, hair cutting, breed-specific styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland expression.
Pet Assessment & Safety:
Inspect pets for skin conditions, mats, fleas, ticks, or health issues before grooming. Use safe, stress-free handling techniques for all breeds, temperaments, and senior dogs.
Vehicle Operation & Maintenance:
Safely drive the mobile grooming van to client locations. Monitor water levels, generator/power systems, and perform daily vehicle inspections.
Sanitation & Equipment Care:
Clean, disinfect, and sanitize the tub, grooming table, tools, and van interior. Maintain and organize grooming tools.
Client Service & Consultation:
Conduct intake consultations at the client's home to discuss grooming preferences, provide post-service updates, and recommend care products or maintenance schedules.
Route & Time Management:
Follow assigned daily appointment schedules, navigate routes efficiently using GPS, and manage time to stay on schedule throughout the day.
Inventory & Supply Tracking:
Monitor supplies (shampoos, conditioners, towels, blade wash) and notify management when restocking is needed.
Qualifications Experience:
1+ years of professional dog grooming experience preferred (formal grooming certification or portfolio is preferred but not required).
Licensing:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift dogs up to 50+ lbs and work on your feet in a compact workspace.
