Responsibilities Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and finishing touches tailored to each pet's breed and individual needs Handle animals with care and confidence, utilizing animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for pets and staff during grooming procedures Assist with dog training and behavioral management to promote calm and cooperative pets during grooming sessions Maintain cleanliness and organization of grooming stations, tools, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming needs, aftercare instructions, and pet behavior Support veterinary team members by handling animals during veterinary procedures or examinations when needed Assist with pet sitting or kennel duties to ensure animals are comfortable and well-cared-for outside of grooming appointments Skills Proven experience in pet grooming, pet care, or animal handling with a focus on dogs Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience is highly desirable Strong animal restraint skills to ensure safety during grooming or veterinary procedures Ability to lift heavy objects safely as part of equipment handling or assisting with large animals such as horses Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Familiarity with veterinary technician or assistant roles enhances your ability to support medical or behavioral needs of animals Experience in kennel management or animal shelter environments is a plus Embark on a rewarding career where your love for animals fuels your daily work.
