Aardvarks Adventureland is looking for energetic, dependable, and dog-loving individuals to join our team as Canine Coaches! Canine Coaches are responsible for creating a safe, structured, fun, and positive environment for the dogs in our care. This is an active, hands-on position where you will work directly with dogs throughout the day while learning canine behavior, handling, and group management. Responsibilities Supervise and safely manage groups of dogs during daycare play. Monitor dog behavior, body language, energy levels, and interactions. Safely handle and move dogs throughout the facility. Properly use slip leads and other handling equipment. Follow radio communication and dog movement procedures. Read and follow Kennel Cards and individual dog care instructions. Recognize stress, behavioral concerns, and potential conflicts. Redirect dogs and maintain appropriate group energy. Assist with enrichment, feeding, potty breaks, and daily dog care. Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized play areas and kennels. Clean up after dogs throughout the day. Communicate clearly with teammates and management. Report injuries, incidents, and behavioral concerns promptly. Follow all safety procedures and company standards. Canine Coach Academy All new Canine Coaches participate in our structured Canine Coach Academy , combining videos, knowledge checks, hands-on training, and practical demonstrations. Training typically takes 3-6 weeks depending on progress and demonstrated competency. Successful completion earns an Aardvarks Adventureland Canine Coach Certification.
