In this energetic role, you will be the frontline caregiver responsible for the daily care, cleanliness, and well-being of our furry guests. Your enthusiasm for animals and commitment to providing a safe, clean, and comfortable environment will ensure every pet feels loved and cared for during their stay. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals, develop your pet care skills, and contribute to a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Responsibilities Provide attentive pet care by feeding, watering, and monitoring animals' health and behavior throughout their stay Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas through regular sanitation and disinfecting practices Handle animals gently and confidently using proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for pets and staff Assist with pet grooming, including bathing, brushing, and basic hygiene needs Support pet boarding operations by managing check-in/check-out procedures and updating pet records accurately Engage in outdoor activities such as walking dogs or supervising playtime to promote physical activity and mental stimulation Perform animal handling tasks with patience and professionalism, ensuring a calm environment at all times Skills Prior veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly valued Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or kennel work demonstrates strong animal handling skills Ability to lift heavy objects safely through team lifting techniques; physical stamina is essential Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Knowledge of animal behavior and restraint techniques to ensure safe interactions with diverse animals Proficiency in cleaning protocols specific to pet care facilities to maintain sanitation standards Outdoor work experience helps manage activities like walking dogs or supervising outdoor play areas effectively Join us in creating a welcoming environment where animals receive compassionate care!
