In this vital role, you'll provide overnight care for our beloved pets, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being while supporting the daily operations of our pet care facility. Responsibilities Provide overnight supervision and care for pets staying in the kennel, including spot cleaning kennels, sweeping and mopping kennels , and monitoring behavior. Maintain a clean and sanitized environment by performing kennel cleaning, deep cleaning of the break room, bathroom , lobby and facility sanitization according to health standards. Assist with pet boarding check-ins and check-outs while providing excellent customer service to pet owners. Support animal behavior assessments and implement basic dog training techniques when appropriate. Document all activities accurately in records related to pet care, behavior observations, and facility maintenance. Create the daily training schedule for the upcoming day. Prepare for the next workday by prepping Kongs and cutting hot dogs. Assist with outdoor work such as yard cleaning or outdoor play areas to ensure a safe environment for animals, to include cleaning the play yards with Wysiwash, & shoveling snow in inclement weather. Play a vital role in our social media presence. Post engaging content on our social media platforms to include, Facebook, Tiktok, Instagram, ect. Requirements Prior administration, front desk skills, social media, highly recommended. Experience in pet sitting, kennel work, or animal handling demonstrates your ability to care for diverse animals confidently. Knowledge of pet grooming, animal restraint techniques, and pet behavior management is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting and team lifting when handling large animals or equipment safely. Strong customer service skills with a friendly approach toward pet owners and visitors. Comfort working overnight shifts in a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and quick decision-making. Outdoor work experience is beneficial for maintaining outdoor play areas and yard safety.
