You must live in Erie, Broomfield, or Superior to qualify for this particular posting. This is a part-time position that typically works 10-20 hours per week. If you love animals and pets and like to be active and outdoors Twin Peaks Pet Care is looking for you to join our team as a dog walker and pet sitter. This is a great part-time position for retired individuals or stay-at-home parents who are looking to work mostly daytime hours in a low stress environment. We service all of Boulder County but especially need people in the Erie area. We are independent and locally owned servicing Boulder County Colorado, including Boulder, Niwot, Gunbarrel, Superior, Louisville, Lafayette, Longmont, Erie, and surrounding areas. You will provide care for pets in the pet owner's home and walk dogs on a regular basis. Must be friendly, reliable, trustworthy, and passionate about providing exceptional care for pets. Responsibilities Walk dogs in various weather conditions, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and stimulation. Maintain proper control of dogs at all times, utilizing effective animal handling techniques. Provide loving and kind care for pets including dog, cats, and small animals. Communicate with pet owners regarding their pets activities and behavior and any observations made during visits. Requirements Previous experience in animal handling or pet care is preferred; experience as a volunteer or veterinary technician is a plus. Strong knowledge of dog behavior and handling techniques. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners. Comfortable walking and caring for all sizes and breeds of dogs/animals in all types of weather. This includes driving to necessary appointments in inclement weather. . A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being. Live in or around the areas we service. Have reliable transportation for summer and winter travel. Own a smartphone with internet, texting, and email capabilities. Be able to pass a criminal background check. Be at least 18 years of age. MUST be willing to work some major holidays such as July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years (includes incremental holiday pay.) Certification in pet first aid is a plus.
