This role involves providing exceptional care and supervision for dogs in our play center, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all dogs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and enjoy a team environment. We are open every day of the year to take care of the dogs in our care. We need employees who are available on weekdays, weekends and holidays. Our shortened holiday and weekend hours are listed below. Shifts needed currently are Tuesdays-Saturdays. Variable schedules can be accommodated. Candidates with availability on weekends and holidays will be chosen over candidates with no availability on weekends. Starting at $16.00/hour, employees can earn up to $24.00/hour. Raises (and bonuses) are dependant on reliability, communication skills, availability, team work, work ethic, and ability to understand dog body language. There is a shared employee tip pool. Tips are distributed based on hours worked and typically add $1•4/hour to employees' earnings depending on customer tipping and overall tip-pool amounts.
Shift Hours Weekends and Holidays:
6:45 am•10:00 am 3:45 am•7:00 pm
Weekdays:
6:45 am•12:00 pm 1:45 pm•7:00 pm Reliability is extremely important so we have humans on site to care for the dogs in our facility. We are actively seeking employees who have a history of good reliability. Please list 2-3 professional references when applying. Responsibilities Supervise and interact with dogs during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being. Assist in the daily care of dogs, including feeding, grooming, and administering medications as needed. Maintain cleanliness in the play area and kennels, including scooping poop, heavy lifting of equipment or supplies. Monitor dog behavior and report any concerns to management or front desk staff. Implement leadership techniques with the dogs as necessary to promote positive behavior among dogs. Ensure all safety protocols are followed to create a secure environment for both dogs and staff. Requirements Experience in animal care or related fields is preferred. Knowledge of basic dog training techniques is a plus but we are happy to train in those areas. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for cleaning and maintenance tasks. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members. A genuine love for animals with the ability to handle various breeds and temperaments safely. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
