This role involves ensuring the safety and well-being of pets while providing a positive experience for both the dogs and their owners. The Dog Walker will be responsible for managing multiple clients, maintaining a flexible schedule, and delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities Walk dogs of various sizes and temperaments, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and socialization. Maintain control of dogs at all times, using appropriate handling techniques to ensure safety. Provide basic care such as feeding, administering medication if needed, and grooming when required. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and any concerns that arise during walks. Keep accurate records of each dog's walking schedule, preferences, and any special instructions from owners. Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, such as moving dog supplies or equipment. Follow all safety protocols to protect both the dogs and yourself during walks. Experience Previous experience in pet care or related fields is preferred but not mandatory. Skills in dog handling, animal restraint, or pet grooming are highly valued. Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is a plus. Strong customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners. Ability to manage multiple dogs simultaneously while ensuring their safety and well-being.
